SY at Maybank Malaysian Open 2009 at Saujana Golf Course

If you asked what was I doing on Valentine's Day ?
Well I attended an event where majority of the people who attended were all men. LOL

Don't give me the 'wth' look lol



So literally I was studying quite late the night before,
and had to wake up around 6+ on a beautiful Saturday morning..

I treated it as :
1) spending some quality time with dad
2) some form of exercise since I need to walk a golf course @@

Since our family is a member & there was free food
plus the freshest brew beer you can ever get from Carlsberg,
why not ?

So wore my pink Polo shirt with my baggy golf shorts & a Mercedes cap ,
indeed look like a golfer. The key is to look like one and blend in !
then,took off to Saujana.
First thing to do,
breakfast !!
LOL

and one famous question everyone would ask me is,
Yes, My dad plays excellent golf,

so girl, you play golf with your father ?

SY : errmmm no ?

owh my, why not ?

SY : no talent in golf ?

that's an excuse. You got the height to play golf ! You should play !

and the yada yada goes on the entire time ..

DId I mention the first time I touched a golf club ?
was in my garden and dad was practicing some swings,
and asked me to try. so took the club and hit the god-damn ball,

guess what happen ?

My dog who taught I was playing his tennis ball with him, chased after the ball,
and of course got hit by my golf-ball !
Imagine the pain if you got hit by a golf-ball.

Yea, I have bad experience in sports. Someone will definitely get hurt somehow LOL
You name the sport, I have the victim file !




But I have to admit the golf course was beautiful to capture =D

2 weeks before the event, I went to the club house to have lunch
Tip : Their food there are indeed delicious with a price tag.
Still the portions are big. Fish Head Noodle, Fish&Chips, Satay !!
and their satay are really one big stick of meat !!!!
their beef one is truly tender sweet good !

Ok, so yea 2 weeks back lol (dragged away by the food),
there were so many workers to set up all the tends, stalls (as shown in photo above),
the engineers, construction workers, event planners,
indeed it is a 'happening event'.

I mean, how often you have international golf players in Malaysia ?

And there was live broadcast on the Sports Channel btw
You could see the camera-man and all driving from one hole to another,
setting up , and ready for action .

And of course the whole course was connected with cabels everywhere.
with Maybank doing heavily advertisement @@

When the golfer was hitting the ball yards away,
this is one part I enjoyed,

the crowd was like ,

HATI-HATI ! BOLA COMING !

BALL ! BALL !

and I was like where ?

THERE ! BALL ! BOLA !

SY : Cannot see ! !!

cause sometimes you gotta be careful incase the golf ball accidentally landed on your HEAD

So there I was starring at the sky. Can't see a single sign of a golf-ball

and poof ! The golf-ball drops right infront of me.

SY : ohhh ball ! there ! LOL

Really, it was something amusing I find on the golf-course.
Cause every hole the same thing happens.

So there was a couple of famous international players there.

Ex: we were following world number 10 , Anthony Kim in couple of holes ,
and when top players are playing - the crowd would be following as well ..

So the crowd was talking about him,
but as a non-golfer,
I have absolutely no idea who he was.
You talk tennis players with me then at least I have an idea.
But from the crowd, they were literally my wikipedia.
Even the crowd knew who was the girlfriend. LOL



And one think that captured by eye was Anthony Kim's belt,
which my dad tells that he wears it every single tournament
and the camera-man always captures it.
So yea, I was zooming-in to find out how 'bling' was his belt.
cause when the sun was shinning, it is kinda distracting LOL



I have no idea how many K is on that belt he is wearing ,
but I do know that is one hell of a bling accessory !



Of course there were other players as well,



I have a lot of photos but too lazy to upload them.

Ok so I went to the golf course on the 3rd day,
but I did went to the golf club on the first day to eat , not to watch the game.
And there was this young korean guy in bright white shirt walking pass me,
(when I was eating), I could feel his presence so badly while chewing my food LOL
and later ,there was a big crowd following him .

and I was like .. who is that ?

Dad : Owh the young korean golfer ? He played quite well today

ohhhh korean .. .SY likey ! LOL

So when I went on Saturday, I wanted to see him play !
cause
1) I never got to see his face cause I was busy eating the other day
2) at least photograph him LOL



So yea, that was him . Only in another shirt.
Still prefer the white shirt LOL
Can't really see him well cause he was wearing a cap and sungclasses !
He may look short in the photograph but he is actually quite tall in person
around 5'10 or so.

And his initial is Neoh SY
Hahaha , what a coincidence right ?
Another SY ! =D

So while I was watching him play,
wikipedia *aka the crowd was talking about him.
this was what I heard :

1) He just turn professional around a year ago & doing very well.
2) His dad is his caddy
3) He is a 18 year old korean. (haizz younger than me lol)

earn the Rookie of the Year award."
from a website I found regarding him last year

And I just found out he was born exactly one month before me
but one year later. LOL

I really love all this "Quiet-man" signs
I captured so many cause it is infact quite annoying when you're trying to watch the game
and there they came right infront of u with the annoying sign asking u to be 'QUIET"
LOL

SY is listening to : DBSK - Stand Up (Really growing on me)
SY is watching this series : I just started on EU and I quite like all the gangster-hood scene!
SY is busy : dammit, PT2 is in a week time !
