penang trip day 2

Alright, it's Part 2 now !
(god knows if I'll have time for Part 3, we'll see phew~!)

Day 2 went to many temples, on my birthday !
Never did that before, so that's what I did on the first day when I hit 20!

Hopefully our prayers can be heard .. AUG 23 baby !
COME ON, LET US PASS !!!!!!!!!!

Wake up right in the morning, it's food once again !
Went to a stall near the Siamese temple . .

At Wat Chayamangkalaram 'Siamese temple'

Of course, the famous Sleeping Buddha.
This was a panoramic photo which I stitched 6 photographs into one!

Candle light !

Heading after that, to the War Museum.
Which was out of our itinerary but highly recommended by our friends who were also visiting Penang. Never really heard of this place before but I must say this was the most fun place we visited in Penang !

ho, ho, ho Look at yee chien's glowing brown hair !

Credits Built by the British army right on top of Bukit Maung, the War Museum bore witness to the fall of the British army in the hands of the Japanese invaders, making it a significant historical point in Penang. The ancient fortress holds a dark story from the time when it was transformed into a Japanese army base; tales of war prisoners being tortured for information colour the walls of the fortress. As a result, Bukit Maung earns the reputation of a haunted location, sending chills down the spines of locals who daren’t go up the hill after dark. Turned into a War Museum by a local three decades later after a period of restoration, the fortress still maintains its underground tunnels and ventilation shafts, ammunition bunkers, logistic centre, canon firing bays, sleeping quarters, cook houses and medical infirmary.

Our general Hong, ready to be shot by his anti club existing in college !
LOL

If you like walking and crawling into small narrow holes, this could be fun !
still remember everyone attempted to go in ended up traffic jam inside his passage
LOL

After spending more than 2 hours here, it's a large place actually !
Headed back to hostel as we were all so sticky.
Needed a fresh bath and off to Botanical Garden

This is peak-ka-boo!

Possibly a lot of monkeys in this place, buy peanuts and be their best friend today !

Yau, Han Yang and a monkey call Sean XD

The waterfall shot !
There's a better one by a photographer who took our photo here !

Headed to eat a Hainan Western Food at Mt erskine.
Food was good at a very reasonable price although its nearby a graveyard compound!

Headed back to our condo and 2 hours later, it's Gurney Drive !
