His innards had demanded their turn at stardom, and an extra helping of his humanity had surfaced for Federer's equaling of Borg's open era-record five straight titles from 1976-80, for his equaling of Borg's 11 Grand Slam titles to pull up only three shy of Pete Sampras, and for his stirring win over Nadal by 7-6 (7), 4-6, 7-6 (3), 2-6, 6-2.

I remember the first time watching him play..
It was 2 years ago during cny
My uncles, dad and cousins were watching the tennis finals .
I was like .. can we change the channel ?
tennis is BORING !

Out of a sudden, roger federer was in action,
I was like =O
And i didn't know he existed
he was world number 1 in tennis since 2004
and he is only 25 now !!!

World number one Roger Federer outlasted Rafael Nadal in a five-set masterpiece to win a record-matching fifth straight Wimbledon title.

The world number one joined Bjorn Borg as only the second man to claim five straight titles at the All England Club, winning with the Swede watching on from the Royal Box.

The 25-year-old Federer will surely have Sampras' record on his radar in the next few years, as he again cruised into the title round with few worries before facing Rafa in the epic final.
